Merriment On Main Tree Lighting Event

The 28th Annual Merriement On Main Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony took place once again on Tuesday after Thanksgiving, November 30. Downtown Vacaville welcomed over 15,000 visitors to this celebration for a night of old fashioned hometown festivities - including free refreshments, entertainment and horse-drawn wagon rides.

McDonald's Ribbon Cutting

On Saturday, December 11th, 2010, C.C. and Regina Yin hosted a ribbon cutting at their McDonald's Restaurant located inside Wal-Mart, at 1501 Helen Power Drive, Vacaville.  Ronald McDonald himself was there to meet and greet all of the visitors that turned out for the event.  Local dignitaries such as Mayor Len Augustine and Mayor-Elect Steve Hardy and City Councilman-Elect Mitch Mashburn, City Councilwoman Dilenna Harris, City Councilman Ron Rowlett and Supervisor Mike Reagan, just to name a few were on hand too.  Free samples of the new McCafe, Chicken Select Premium Breast Strips and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies were provided along with coupons and hats.
